Walk around Vinogradov<\/a> it is worth starting from its center, where in the square between Mir and Shevchenko streets is the majestic ascension Church of the XV-XVI centuries. In the XVI century the Church was at the epicenter of the conflict Protestants’<\/a> and Catholics’<\/a>. The Church changed hands and was repeatedly destroyed until it was finally taken over by the Catholics in 1690. Later, the temple was destroyed again, this time by fire, when in August 1717 <\/a>the Crimean Tatars took over the city of Vinogradov for two days. Later, in 1748, at the expense of Bishop Eger Barkotsi, the Church was rebuilt and transferred to the Catholic community of the city. A bas-relief of the Bishop’s coat of arms is preserved on the facade of the Church. Another reconstruction of the Church took place in 1889. The architecture of the Church has elements of Romanesque and Gothic styles’<\/a> with the latter predominating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the square, on the side of the Central entrance to the Church, there is a the fountain composition<\/a>. A sculpture of a girl who crushes grapes adorns a bowl from which water is spewing. In the square behind the Church there is another composition by Uzhgorod sculptor Mikhail Kolodko-a monument winemaker’s<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the street, at the intersection of Mir and Partizanskaya streets, there is a small but surprisingly beautiful building monastic<\/a> a complex that has been known since 1516. On the opposite side of the monastery’s<\/a>, at the beginning of Pushkin street, on the wall of the house there is a memorial plaque dedicated to Holocaust victim<\/a>. A few meters from the intersection on the same street is a synagogue building. By its large size you can judge the size Jewish community<\/a> cities before world war II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continue your walk along the square in the center of the city to the monument to Soviet soldiers. On the left-the building district<\/a> administrations. The symbol is set in front of it Vinogradovsky district<\/a> \u2013 bronze figure of a guardian angel with the arms Ugochanskyi of the Committee in his hands. This is a shield of Spanish form, with a bunch of grapes and fish on top, an oak branch with an acorn and cancer at the bottom. In the center is a Lion-the family coat of arms of feudal lords Feathers<\/a>. <\/a>Then you should move in the same direction and you can see church<\/a> Assumption <\/a>holy mother<\/a>, <\/a>which was built in 1815.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five hundred meters away, you can see the Palace-the residence of the barons of pereni. The building was built at the end of the XVI century. The one-story building was built in the Renaissance style and corresponded to the spirit of the time. From here it was convenient to manage large landholdings, hold parties and lavish receptions, and in case of danger, you could always hide in the nearby castle of the Kanks. In the XVII century, the Palace was rebuilt in the Baroque style. The area of the Palace was increased due to the completion of the second floor. The Palace was recently restored. The money for the restoration was provided by a descendant of the pereni family. Today, the building houses the district’s Department of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tour is worth continuing to the ruins of the Kank castle<\/a>. To do this, at the intersection, turn left, and a hundred meters later \u2013 to the right, on Kotsyubinsky street, which leads to the walls of the fortress. From the height of the castle offers a magical view of the city and the valley Yew tree<\/a>.In General, the tour of Vinogradov takes about one hour, but the impressions of it will remain for life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
