The picturesque village of golubinoe is located at a distance of four kilometers to the North of Svaliavas <\/a>in the valley of river Pinya. It has been known since 1430. The village has a population of 2,781.<\/p> \n\r\n

The name of the village comes from pigeons. There are several legends about this. According to one of them, once there were many pigeons in the vicinity of the village. The villagers are obliged to hand over the captured pigeons to the master as a payment. According to another version, if the enemy approaches, from the other side Carpathian mountains<\/a>,produced in the Dove Postamt<\/a> the pigeon that reported the danger of the garrisonMukachevsky Castle<\/a>.Another legend tells that the founder of the village was the son of pop Yasin<\/a>, whom his father threw out of the house for disobedience. He gave the village the name for the fact that solid wilderness grew here, in which pigeons nested. Thanks to this founder in the village, a considerable part of the natives have the surname Popovich.<\/p><\/p> \n \n

Between the villages Pigeon <\/a>and Solochin<\/a> since 1965 on the basis of mineral water<\/a> “Luzhanskaya” works sanatorium<\/a> “Kvitka Poloniny”. Here they treat diseases of the stomach, bile ducts and liver, hepatitis, diabetes, and remove radionuclides<\/a>. The drilling well is located directly on the territory of the health resort. At a distance of six kilometers from the sanatorium there is ski <\/a>base with the lift. The main object of photography in the sanatorium is a huge sculpture of a dinosaur.<\/p><\/p> \n\r\n
