It consisted of several belts. The first \u2013 in the Carpathian region, to protect the approaches to the main Carpathian watershed, which was called the border of Gunyadi. The second one went along the tops of the bases <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/carpathians-trekking\/\">Carpathian<\/a> it consisted of trenches and dugouts \u2013 the so-called St. Basil&#8217;s line. The third-along narrow river valleys and near large settlements, included concrete fortifications and mechanical obstacles-the Arpad Line.\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height:
