The opening of this mini-sculpture on June 01, 2015 was attended by the French Consul with a large delegation of diplomats. This sculpture became the smallest copy of the Eiffel tower. The height of the mini-sculpture is only 16 centimeters, and it weighs one kilogram.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>The place for the new tourist attraction was not chosen&#13;\naccidentally. In addition to the tower, he built more than 200 structures during his life, including bridges, viaducts, railway stations, shops, and schools,<a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/klasifikacija-zakarpatskih-derevja\/\">churches<\/a>, banks, casinos. In 1900-1902, according to his project, a lighthouse was built on the island of jarylgach (Ukraine, Kherson region). he developed its openwork metal frame in Paris.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>Nadezhda Popadyuk describes an interesting legend related to this mini-sculpture in her book &#8220;Uzhgorod \u2013 the world capital of mini-sculptures&#8221;. According to legend, in 1898 Gustave Eiffel visited Uzhgorod and it was he who designed the first iron bridge for pedestrian and transport purposes. The bridge was not at all like a modern pedestrian bridge, but resembled a railway one. This important object of urban infrastructure existed until 1944, when retreating, <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/zakarpatski-nimci\/\">German<\/a> the troops blew it up.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>In memory of his stay in Uzhgorod Gustave Eiffel&#13;\nleft a mini-sculpture-16-cm, the world&#8217;s smallest copy of the legendary Eiffel tower&#13;\nthe tower, which he installed on an ancient lamp post near the Greek Catholic&#13;\nChurch of Uzhgorod (modern Holy cross Cathedral).<\/p>&#13;\n<div class=\"vlp-link-container vlp-template-default \">\n\t<a
