Mini-sculpture of Franz Liszt was installed on the railing of the Botanical embankment opposite Philharmonics<\/a> in may of 2012. The author of this bronze mini-sculpture about 20 cm high is Mikhail Kolodko.<\/p>\n\n

Since the installation of this mini-masterpiece, a huge number of adventures have happened. In the summer of 2012, part of a chestnut tree fell on the railing where the mini-sculpture was located during a hurricane. The railing was destroyed, and the fragment with the small Ferenc Leaf strangely disappeared somewhere. Afterwards sculpture<\/a> managed to find and return to the old place. This was not the end of Ferenc’s misfortunes: in December 2012, unknown people painted part of the railing yellow, ruining the appearance of the mini-sculpture, and in early 2013, Liszt was stolen again. In a few days, the utility workers managed to find the sculpture on the shore Uzh<\/a> and put it back in place. In January 2017, the bronze mini-masterpiece once again disappeared from the Uzh embankment. This time it was decided to move from the ill fated place to a new one in the heart Uzhgorod’s<\/a>. Since then, the mini-sculpture of Franz Liszt is located in the center of Uzhgorod on square Zhupanatska<\/a> (GPS: 48.624201, 22.297312).<\/p>\n\n

In April 2018, the mini-sculpture is a sister of Ferenc \nLista, authored by Mikhail Kolodko, appeared at the airport in Budapest.<\/p>\n\n

Franz Liszt-famous Hungarian<\/a> composer, author of numerous organ and choral, vocal and symphonic music. During his life, during 60 years of hard work, he created more than 1300 works. At birth, he received the name written in Latin Franciscus, and because of his poor command of Hungarian, he preferred the non-Hungarian version Ferenc<\/a>, \u0430 German<\/a> versions of his name \u2013 Franz.<\/p>\n\n

He was the first pianist to give recitals \nconcerts that made a real splash. After one performance, he was approached by \nBeethoven and kissed the talented young man, which he remembered all his life.<\/p>\n\n

Franz Liszt was also a well-known philanthropist. He provided assistance to victims of natural disasters, orphans, and personally taught many people for free talented student<\/a>, he donated considerable funds to open a Conservatory in Budapest<\/p>\n\n

Then the lovers prepared and implemented a plan for a romantic escape to the city of Weimar. An interesting legend related to this mini-sculpture is told in his book “Uzhgorod \u2013 the world capital of mini-sculptures” by Nadezhda Popadyuk. According to legend, in 1848 Franz Liszt and Caroline Wittgenstein stopped in Uzhgorod on their way to Weimar. Here Liszt played a solo concert on the organ without the participation of other musicians in Greek-Catholic<\/a> (today Uzhgorod Holy cross Cathedral is a Greek Catholic Cathedral). This was how he met the Abbot of this temple, who secretly married him and Caroline that night. In love and happy, they went to Weimar. Uzhgorod sculptor, having visited the concert of Liszt in temple<\/a>, decided to create a mini-sculpture of the artist and put it on a hoist to Uzhgorod Juanita.<\/p>\n
