If you go from the village Beni <\/a>Vinogradovskaya highway to the border with Vinogradovsky district<\/a>at a distance of a kilometer from the road is the village of Chetfalva Beregovsky district<\/a> Zakarpattia region (in Soviet times it was called \u2013 the Calculations). The village has a population of 755. Even if you don’t notice the “architectural sign”, the wooden spire belfries<\/a> local temple’s<\/a> \u0441will command a landmark. What is next to the village Hungary<\/a> it is noticeable immediately: it is difficult to find a Ukrainian sign or hear the Ukrainian language here. On the outskirts of the village \u2013 a wooded Bank of the border Yew tree<\/a>. In 1998 and 2001, the village was severely damaged by flooding. Because of this, Chetfalva built the largest (20 meters high) protective dam in Transcarpathia. The old dam was completely destroyed during the 2001 flood.<\/p>\n\n

\u043c Gothic wood<\/a> the tower of the XVIII century, next to which there is a small, with one window, stone temple<\/a> XIV century, which was reconstructed in 1753. This miniature single-nave Basilica, reinforced with a buttress, has two decorations: a Cockerel vane on the spire and a wooden Quezon (artistically designed) ceiling. Each square-caisson is painted with a stylized floral ornament on a black or white background. The ceiling of the temple was painted in 1753 and 1773, which is written, in fact, on the caissons themselves.<\/p>\n\n

To get to the temple, you must pass through the tall bell tower. \nThe steeple of the bell tower is almost the same height as the tower itself. In the bell tower except for the height \nunique is its frame structure with 16 supports.<\/p>\n

Back to back with the old Church stands the new Church of the Holy spirit, built in 1998-2001 in the art Nouveau style. This Shrine was built by local craftsmen at the request of two religious communities of the village-Roman Catholic and Greek Catholic. An interesting symbiosis of the two streams of Christianity is most clearly manifested in the altar part of the Church: an interesting thing here is a carved crucifix surrounded by exquisite flowers. The vine shoots rise from the host of saints at the foot of the Tree of Life up to the image of a dove in a halo, the symbol of the Holy spirit. Other interior details are also expertly executed. The light bell tower of this temple has an elusive-gothic<\/a> look.<\/p>\n\n

Green tourism is developing rapidly in the village.<\/p>\n\n
