At the foot of Bear mountain, in In Svalyava district<\/a> The tiny village of uklin is located in the Transcarpathian region. The population of this village is just under four hundred people. Near it is a picturesque Ulinskipass<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

In the village preserved wooden church<\/a> the Holy apostles Peter and Paul. It was built in the late XVIII \u2013 early XIX century. According to legend this temple<\/a> it was built of wood, which was used to build the previous Church. Some researchers believe that this previous Church was built as early as the XIV century. In historical sources the wooden Church was mentioned only in 1733 St. Nicholas<\/a> with one ring. Old-timers also claim that before constructions<\/a> the Church of Peter and Paul in the village had two wooden churches that burned down. The Peter and Paul Church is distinguished by its miniature size, which was typical for temple<\/a> in remote localities. According to legend, the small size of this temple is due to the fact that very few people survived the terrible cholera epidemic in the village. There are only three similar wooden churches in Transcarpathia (Rakhiv<\/a>, Kostryns’ka Roztoka, The Village). Such a Church existed in the village Domashyn Of the velikobereznyansky district<\/a>. It was the youngest of these churches. It was built in 1907, and in 2007 it was destroyed, and a new one was built in its place. Ulinski of the Church is the oldest among the group of small wooden churches of Transcarpathia. At first it was covered with wood shingles. In 2002, it was restored and the roof was covered with shingles. The bells of this Church were moved to a new Church built in 1992. Now the Peter and Paul Church in the village of uklin is closed and not used for its intended purpose.<\/p>\n\n

Tourists<\/a>, those who decided to enjoy the views of the village can stay in the hotel complex “uklin” with a restaurant Transcarpathian cuisine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Since 2007, the village has started a tradition of celebrating the holiday Ivana Kupala<\/a> Day mineral spring<\/a>, during which you can taste local healing drinks and dishes traditional cuisine<\/a>, buy products of local craftsmen.<\/p>\n\n
