In historical sources, it was first mentioned in 1383. The population of the village is almost seven thousand inhabitants. If you come to the center of the village you can see the real one <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/klasifikacija-zakarpatskih-derevja\/\">parade of temples<\/a>: four rural <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/derevjannye-hramy-i-cerkvi\/\">churches<\/a>five of them were lined up in a single line. It was built on the site of a fortress of the XV century. The walls of the cellars have been preserved from the old castle. In the middle of the XVIII century, the Palace was surrounded by a defensive wall. Behind the walls is a small <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/nacionalnij-prirodnij-park-zacharovana-dolina\/\">park<\/a> with benches, utility rooms and a modest one-story residential building, decorated with risalit and pilasters. It is not very similar to a classic castle and looks more like a noble Palace. Under the column is a mass grave of fifty dead rebels.<\/p>\n\n<p>In Long there is a higher economic College &#8220;Bachelor&#8221; named after Vasily&#13;\nYakuba, which is the only higher education institution in Ukraine that is located in&#13;\nin the village.<\/p>\n\n<p>Long known for the fact that here lived and created a famous Transcarpathian&#13;\nwriter Maria Pidgiryanka.
