The population of the village is almost three thousand people. It has been known since 1180. Then it was a small settlement of shepherds. Polyana is known as a resort village. In 1463. <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/glory-mineral-water-transcarpahia\/\">mineral water<\/a> it was first mentioned in the Charter of king Matyash.<\/p>\n\n<p>More from <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/xix-vek-ukraina-zakarpate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"XIX century (opens in a new tab)\">XIX century<\/a> there were three workshops for bottling mineral water &#8220;Polyana Kvasova&#8221; and &#8220;luzhanskaya&#8221;. At that time, each mineral water bottling plant was a shed with a stone floor, where mostly women and teenagers worked. Only in 1912, each of the workshops produced more than 150 thousand bottles of mineral water.<\/p>\n\n<p>Polyana Kvasova mineral water was awarded 21 times at international mineral water competitions from 1842 to 1911. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is considered one of the best mineral waters in Central Europe.<\/p>\n\n<p>The first sanatorium based on local mineral water &#8220;Polyana-Kupel&#8221; was built near the village in 1868. In a Glade, in the middle of the picturesque valley of the Malaya Pinya river, since 1946 on the basis of <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/unikalnij-sanatorij-sinjak\/\">sanatorium&#8217;s<\/a> &#8220;Polyana-Kupel &#8220;is a famous sanatorium&#8221; Polyana &#8221; with 500 seats.
