On the territory Khust district<\/a> In the Transcarpathian region, near the village of Olshany, tourists can see a fabulous picture of the reservoir of the terebla-Ritsa hydroelectric power station. Among the picturesque landscapes Carpathians <\/a>the river glistens with an emerald color Teasing<\/a>, which flows rapidly from the lake Synevyr<\/a>. The reservoir has a width of one kilometer, which is incredible for mountain Transcarpathian reservoirs.<\/p>\n

During the construction of the dam in 1957, two villages were relocated from this area. The length of the Tereblya-Rezkogo reservoir nearly ten kilometers, and water depth to ten metres. Unique fact: she Tereblya-Ritska hydroelectric power plant is located in the village of Lower Quick. On both sides of the highway grows a large, more than 100 meters long dam with excessive concrete. Its height is 47 meters. There are only 20 above water, the rest of the dams are submerged, and the lowest 10 meters are under silt. On the territory of the hydroelectric power station is located the museum<\/a>. The Museum even has the opportunity to see how the huge turbines work. They say that a road is laid through the dam, through thick concrete walls, which can be easily passed by a car.<\/p>\n

The construction of a hydroelectric power station helped the residents of Transcarpathia with electrification, however rafters of the forest (bokorashi) <\/a>left idle.<\/p>\n

The HPP design is unique. Water in it from the reservoir through a large pipe that runs inside the mountain pours on the turbines of the hydroelectric power station, then falls into the River. Thanks to this clever design, it was possible to get a large height difference, which increases the speed of the turbine: 7,000 revolutions in 60 seconds \u2013 which is one of the largest indicators in the world.<\/p>\n\n
