In 1999, the uzhansky national nature Park was created, which is now part of the international reserve “Eastern Carpathians”.<\/p>\n

Uzhansky nature Park stretches along the upper reaches the Uzh river<\/a> from Uzhotsky pass<\/a> the village of Zabrod is 45 kilometers away. The area of the Park is as much as 39,159 ha. Hundreds of species grow on the lands of this unique reserve medicinal plant<\/a>, a significant part of which are listed in the Red book of Ukraine. In 2007, a significant part of the Park’s forests was included in the UNESCO list.<\/p>\n

On the territory of the Uzhansky national natural Park, eight species have been studied cave<\/a>. Most likely, there may be much more caves in these places and they are still waiting for their discovery. Five of the most famous caves are located on Menchil mountain, namely: “Zigzag” (length-7.2 meters, depth-4 meters), “branched” (length-41 meters, depth-3-4 meters), “terrarium “(8 meters long, 2 meters deep),” deep “(31.7 meters long, 8.5 meters deep) and” Rolling Stones ” (113 meters long, 21 meters deep). Near the villages of Novaya Stuzhitsa and Zagorb there are caves a Meter-long pit and a Small One.
